One of major clients is seeking the excellent candidate who can handle Sales SCM team as an Employee & Labor Relations Specialist (UWA experiences needed)

A Global Industry Leader: A prominent manufacturer operating in Appliances, Mobile, Network, Semiconductors, Batteries, Electrical, and Electronics sectors, and recently establishing a new office, is looking for a Employee & Relations Specialist with 4 to 6 years of experience (Mid - Sr level) who is bilingual in Korean and English.


Must have: English and Korean speak/written

Must have: Employee & Labor Relations Specialist experiences (4 to 5 years +)

Must have: Automotive UAW related experienced

Willing to relocate: Auburn Hills, Mi and On-site


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary liaison between the Company and HQ for labor and employee relations matters, providing HQ with necessary reports on collective bargaining agreements and union affairs.

  • Researches and cultivates expertise in unions that may engage with the Company, creating reports and presentations for HQ as needed.

  • Stays current by researching, analyzing, and interpreting recent changes in case law, state, and federal regulations, and diligently monitors legal updates.

  • Offers specialized professional guidance and training on employee relations and labor relations to managers, employees, and HR professionals, including advice on employee disciplinary issues.

  • Investigates potential grievances and policy violations, advising the Human Resources Manager on strategies to mitigate or prevent workplace issues affecting morale, productivity, and organizational performance. Collects and analyzes evidence to assess compliance and policy matters.

  • Recommends process enhancements to improve transparency and accuracy in personnel procedures and data.

  • Provides guidance, expert policy interpretation, and training to minimize the adverse impact of compliance issues and complaints, and to resolve disputes at the lowest administrative level.

  • Develops and delivers specialized presentations and training sessions on operational and technical HR-related subjects within specified areas of expertise.

  • Offers individual and group advice, guidance, and professional support to HR professionals and others concerning the interpretation and application of policies, practices, and procedures in employee and labor relations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial and Labor Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.

  • Possesses a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to employee and/or labor relations, including grievance handling.

  • Has at least one year of experience dealing with unions.

  • Must hold PHR certification or be eligible to obtain it within one year of employment.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of key U.S. Employee Relations-related policies and sensing strategies.

  • Familiar with federal and state agencies and regulations governing employment.

  • Proficient in conducting investigations, managing, and resolving conflicts.

  • Capable of providing guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures to team members and management.

  • Possesses strong interpersonal, investigative, and mediation skills.

  • Able to quickly and accurately analyze oral and written information and make decisions under pressure.

  • Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with personnel at all organizational levels and external contacts.

  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in Korean.
